BRIDGE DESCRIPTION
​FDN Ultrabridges are unique durable traffic bridges, which are based on an effective modular building system so that bridges up to 30m in length and 5m in width can be built economically with only two standard elements.
PROJECTS
The first Ultrabridge was successfully built in Rotterdam in 2012. Since that time, the bridge has won well-recognized Betonprijs 2013 and FiB Special Mention Prize for Outstanding Concrete Structures. The unique characteristics and appearance of the bridge have brought Ultrabidges to a leading position in current market of sustainable bridges.
NEWS & EVENTS
In june 2014, FDN has been ranked in Top 20 of the best innovative companies in Netherlands. The Jury chose out of 100 medium and small-size companies, which brought innovations on the market. FDN's Ultrabridges took one of the top spots in the final ranking.
Design Your own railing
The general concept of Ultrabridges enables to design any shape of railing from different materials such as UHPFRC or steel. The railing from high-strength concrete is slender and very durable. Different colors of railing can be reached by adding of pigments.
FDN in Mumbai
In February 2014, FDN engineering presented Ultrabridges at 4th International FiB congress with a great success. Ultrabridge, built in Rotterdam, obtained a prestigious Special Mention Prize by the Awards for Outstanding Concrete Structures.

FDN ULTRABRIDGES
Sustainable UHPFRC bridges
New Ultrabridge in Eindhoven
New superslender Ultrabridge was built in Eindhoven. The pedestrian bridge is fully made from UHPFRC C170/200. The total length is 25.5 m and the span is 22 m. De bridge deck is only 40 cm high en 3.8 m wide. The bridge desgn is innovative because of structural shape, colour of concrete and slenderness. The whole structure is durable and sustainable. The client was municipality Eindhoven.
